Product review: BH studio pro powder

Hello,
i was at one of my cosmetics suppliers place last week and was introduced to the BH studio pro powder, bought one for myself also and decided to do a review on it.

what BH says:
Silky and gorgeous, this matte pressed powder applies smoothly with light coverage while absorbing excess oils.

Key Ingredients & Benefits:
Paraben & Oil Free!
Hyaluronic Acid- Naturally Moisturizing Hydration
Oil-Absorbing Powder
Sheer To Medium Coverage
Non-irritating formula
Clinically Tested
Allergy Tested

what i sayt:
I have used this with and without foundation and i like the fact that it is not cakey. but tends to do a fantastic job of oil control, it keeps my face matte for 5 to 8 hours and trust me my face has recently gotten oilier than ever! if you want heavy coverage however, i believe this is not the powder for you except of course you cheat by using a damp powder sponge to apply over foundation.
It retails for N2500 at my studio and this is a good bargain considering the fact that its a close dupe for the much more expensive high end studio brands and its also a considerable good quantity compared to good brands of the same price range.

I would recommend this for private and professional use, but as a professional, you cannot use this for people with lots of blemishes. Also it doesnt have very dark shades, mine is the darkest of the range (i'm a bronze 607 mary kay, cappuccino revlon, NW50 mac)

till next time
stay Beeyoutiful!

Personal photo shoot client

Hello,

I had a photo shoot client on Monday. I had done something similar for her sister some months back, she saw the pictures and loved them so she came all the way from oshogbo to have the same done for her.

I started with neutral eyes so that it would be easy to make a few changes here and there to suit her different outfits.

Here's what i used:

Eyes

Black opal eye pencil in coffee bean and elf studio brow kit in medium for the brows

Semi matte orangey-bronze from D'clio makeup palette on the eyelids

Ivory shimmering shadow from my Zaron eye palette in the inner eye corner

Lighter brown shade of the Zaron brow kit in the crease,

Darker shade plus black matte sleek shadow in the outer eye corner.

To line the upper lids I used Maybelline colossal kajal

And deep blue jumbo Davis eye pencil on the lower eyelid.

For her lashes I used Mac haute and naughty too black lash mascara (she doesn't like lash extensions)

Face

Mary Kay liquid medium coverage foundation 600

Revlon colourstay foundation mocha

Mary Kay foundation 507

Elf studio concealer

Zaron concealer/foundation stick nz10

Iman luxury pressed powder clay medium dark

Zaron loose powder nz20

D'clio natral blush

Lips

Forever aloe lips

Black opal lip liner in black cherry

ELF essential lipstick in classy.

I later changed the lip color to fuschia and then orange to suit her wardrobe changes, i added a little orange eyeshadoww from my zaron eye palette and deep purple to the outer corner from my sleek limited edition palette.

And yes i made the beads too!

hope you like the transformation!

Beauty tip: How to clean your makeup brushes

Hello people
It's been a few days, trust you are all doing great?  Today my post is about hygiene and makeup: how to clean your make up brushes. I hope you have makeup brushes, cause they are very essential tools in any makeup kit. I'll make a mental note to do a post on the must have makeup brushes for every woman and their uses.
Back to the subject of the day,  you should wipe off your brushes after almost every use, baby wipes will do just fine you can even add a few sprays of meth spirit to kill any germs they might have picked up. You should also wash them often to prevent breakouts caused by bacteria due to product and dirt build up which leads to contamination.
There are essentially two types of brushes:
Natural haired and synthetic.
Brushes with natural hair have soft, fluffy heads made from fur of goat, horse, squirrel etc while synthetic brushes are usually harder and sharper.
Whether your brush is natural or not, was at least once a month (twice is ideal) with warm water and a mild/baby shampoo. If you have sensitive skin prone to allergies,a useful tip is to use a hypoallergenic soapy facial cleanser in place of shampoo.

Directions: sorry i have blurred pictures, had no one to take them for me!
What i used: Revlon conditioner, clean and clear morning burst facial wash, warm water

Put water in a small bowl and add a little a shampoo depending on the size of the brush.
Dip the brush head into the soapy water and swirl gently for a few seconds then massage, and swirl again.

For foundation or powder brushes,  you will probably need to change the water and repeat the process so that you can thoroughly clean the brush. Rinse of shampoo by swirling in clean water.

For synthetic brushes this is all that is needed.  But if yours has got natural bristles, you need to prepare a  conditioner solution and swirl the brush in it for about a minute before rinsing finally.  This will ensure that your brush remains soft and fluffy.

Gently squeeze out the water, be careful to maintain the shape of the brush while doing so

You can then lie it straight down to dry or hang it face down. Never hang wet brushes face up.  The water will erode the glue holding the bristles together and dislodge them.
So that's it!

Till next time,
Stay beeyoutiful.
Hugs
