Gele tutorial: fan method

Hello, I recorded this gele tutorial more than 3 years ago during a personal head gear class (Do It Like A Pro). I'm sure this will help someone struggling with how to get it right.  I will definitely record new, more professional (head gear, scarf, aso oke...) tutorials soon. Just watch this space.

FOTD: smooth operator!

hello, i promised to do posts on my Zaron goody bags contents and here's post 1:
in this picture i have on light medium and dark brown eyeshadow colours from the palette  bought
my eyelids were primed with tara eyeshadow primer, face primed with NYX pore filler, i filled my brows with Davies no 18 pencil and cleaned up with elf concealer.
under my brows and on my lid i have the second right shadow from the top, in my crease i'm wearing the second right from the top, it's a medium dark brown shade, and on my outer v im wearing the fourth left dark brown
I lined my upper and lower lids with the zaron black gel liner (Which i love and i'm praying won't go dry on me!) and i used the lower blush which is like an orangey brown colour to contour my cheek hollows (ive got naturally intense high cheek bones so i avoid blush directly on my cheeks)
In all i'll say i love most of what i tried, i'm not totally sold on the face palette yet, though i did this look at 5:30am before setting out for Ife to do my stuff on my client below.

ill take time to sit and work with it soon so i can form my opinions.
on my lips im wearing a thin layer of so chaud by Mac and absolute lip gloss and i have Colossal mascara by maybelline on as well.
foundation is a bit of zaron and much of revlon, powder is zaron and maybelline.
if you want to see how i achieved the look, let me know and i'll record a video.
You can also order any of the products above by calling me on 07031609253

 till next time,

Why and how to calculate Body mass Index

According to Wikipedia, the body mass index (BMI), or Quetelet index, is a measure of relative weight based on an individual's mass and height.
Devised between 1830 and 1850 by Adolphe Quetelet during the course of developing "social physics",[2] it is defined as the individual's body mass divided by the square of their height – with the value universally being given in units of kg/m2.
\mathrm{BMI} = \frac{\text{mass}(\text{kg})}{\left(\text{height}(\text{m})\right)^2}
= \frac{\text{mass}(\text{lb})}{\left(\text{height}(\text{in})\right)^2}\times 703
Why do i need t know my BMI? you may ask.
a friend, much shorter than i am, once asked me what dress size i wear and i told her i oscillate between 10 and 12 uk dress size, and then she goes, "but it means you are not yet thin enough, i thought size 6 and 8 were the perfect sizes. of course i laughed inwardly and then went on to explain to her how being a size 6 for me probably would mean i am under weight and in dire need of some good food!
So for example, if you are 1.7m tall and  weight 69kg your BMI is 69/(1.7*1,7)= 23.8 which falls within the normal range of 20-25.
other interpretations are
less than 20= underweight
20-25= normal weight
25.01-30= overweight
30.01-40= obese
greater than 40= morbidly obese
you would agree with me that before embarking on any journey, it makes sense to know where you are and where you are going to so that even if you don't know how to get to your destination and need to ask for help you can get it easily. in essence, if you know what your weight is, and what it should be then it becomes easier to shed the excess because you would be focused and motivated.

Zaron makeup artists appreciation day

contents of my goody bag.
I got a mail a few days ago from MJ of Zaron inviting me for an exclusive makeup artists appreciation day, it felt good to be recognized and appreciated so i made up my mind that even though it'd mean leaving ibadan at twilight, i'd try my best to go and that i did!
I made it in on time and the event started with a chat with MaryJane telling us about all the wonderful new things they had and the improvements they've made on some of their products. She asked us for honest feed backs and then left us with Vivian who took us through all of their products, showing us the different formulations and shades and stuff.
Then Mary Jane came back and it was time for chops and cocktails! yay...i was so hungry, i forgot about eating healthy and devoured every single thing on the well packed plate.
then she, MJ, did a live makeup demonstration on Ewaoju makeovas using the new foundation and powder palette, which was one of the freebies i got!!!
I met a few new faces, some have been BBM contacts for ages and some others i had known before now.
finally we were each given a goody bag, containing the new Zaron face palette (yes o!), face primer, gel eyeliner, new single eyeshadow, lengthening mascara, eclipse collection lipstick and a fix it spray! quite a lot of stuff right? i sincerely am not surprised Zaron is doing very well because they have a culture of giving, this is my second goody bag from zaron in 3 years and they took all suggestions into consideration by creating softer cream to powder foundations without compromising on coverage.Rest assured i will do a review on each product as the days go by.

my personal purchase

lastly. before stepping out (earlier than others as i had to make the journey back to ibadan as i got to find out many more peeps came after i'd left), i bought the new nude eyeshadow and blush palette, immediately i saw it, i knew i had to have it, so i'd review and most likely do a tutorial with that too soon.
All in all it was a fun day and totally worth it!
