Do you need a gym in Ibadan?

Well hello there!
Its been a while. I've been settling into my new role as the Founder of My Figure 8 wellness and events and Initiator of She learns here and I must say that I have learned a lot! Starting a new business is really challenging and what worked for one may not necessarily work for another. That's why I'm learning new ways to run this new business better than how I ran my former one. That said, here's what I do now.
I run a female only gym in Ibadan, My Figure 8, which is located at Number 2, 14th avenue, Oluyole estate. This is for people who want to get and stay fit, or want to lose weight. For more information, please visit the website here.

In other news, I'll be speaking at this year's edition of "You are beautiful" organised by Olusewa Oluyemi at Global harvest Church, Liberty road on the 9th of September.

I'LL love to see you there.

Cheers!

The wig, the cornrows and my God!

As I put on my wig very early on Tuesday morning trying to get out of the house fast so my children won't be late for school and I for work,  a thought flashed through my mind.

Source

The cornrows under the wig was hideous because I did them myself and in a rush.  But hey,  no one knows what's underneath my neatly styled wig right?

It's the same way no one knows what you are going through beneath the facade.
However,  I caught my  husband starring at me that night, my wig was off,  my makeup long washed off as well and when I confronted him,  he said he was just looking at how beautiful I am. (yea  right!  Right?)

But it occurred to me that to God, with or without the coverings,  you are beautiful.  It doesn't mean the ugly cornrows aren't there (and they were ugly)  but the cornrows did not define me.  Neither do your issues define you before God.
He loves the real you,  let him love you. Yes, you need to  believe that he loves you!

Business:Tony Elumelu entrepreneurship program 2017

Hello again,
I know I said I won't be regular here but I remember also saying i'd be quick to share opportunities that will benefit my readers. One of such is the Tony Elumelu entrepreneurship program. I benefited from this last year and I'm grateful to God for the opportunity to be trained, mentored and have capital support.
Caveat:
This is not for you if you are not ready to put in time and effort to learn, if your business is more than 3 years old and if you are not willing to support your idea with your own money also (it's a seed capital, not all you will ever need).

The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP) is a holistic 12 month programme that will occur every year, for the next decade.  This means that for the next 10 years, our #AfricanEntrepreneurs stand a chance at making their ideas for transforming Africa come to fruition!
Each programme cycle begins with APPLICATIONS from January 1st until March 1st.  The application portal opens and ushers in a new year for the programme and for our prospective start-ups.
We will accept applications from all across the continent, from various sectors including but not limited to;
Agriculture
ICT
Housing
Media
Education
Transportation
Textiles
Manufacturing
Our terms and conditions can give you an idea of what businesses are NOT eligible to apply.
Selection of TEEP start-ups takes place in the month of March.  From thousands of applications, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, along with our independent expert Selection Committee will select the 1000 BEST applicants to join the programme as certified #TEEP Start-ups.
Start-ups receive their first round of non-returnable $5000 or the local currency equivalent as seed capital investment at the end of the Boot-camp and TEF Entrepreneurship Forum.

My Figure 8, 2017, and what to expect.

Wow!
It's a new year already? A lot went down and up last year that I can only thank God. Like I said in my last post, my business has transitioned from Bee's Signatures beauty into My Figure 8 wellness and events to accommodate the new additions as the former name was registered strictly for Beauty services.

That said, my new company will be hosting monthly webinars where we would either discuss fitness, nutrition, or beauty, or have live interviews with experts as well as everyday women on wellness related topics.

The first of these came up today Friday, 6th of January by 12 noon Nigerian time.

You can watch it up there.

I discussed ways we can gradually introduce healthy feeding to our family.

Also, in the month of January, we will be hosting women in Ibadan to a cocktails, free makeup training and shopping event. If you would like to be a part of the event as a guest or as a vendor (to display your goods or services), please give me a call on 07031609253.

I will not be as regular as i used to be here, because I will also be running the official blog with my other contributors, but i'll try my best to keep you updated on anything that i think will be of benefit to you my dear reader.

Have a year filled with unlimited success.
God bless you
