Who is scared of words?

Today's post is a rant!

I love to read, even though these days technology has made me a bit lazier with the invention of audio books.

As a young girl I used to read any and everything, i just loved to retreat into a corner once i got my hands on a book.

Now I have my own little girl and though she's a Prof in her own rights( loves to study), she's kind of scared to read words, when she eventually tries, she almost always gets it.

She's still young so I know it's not as bad as I think it is. But i'd like to see her eager to read.

I'm not making it easy either, as I get pretty impatient.

So if anyone has good advice on how I can get her to love reading (she's 5 and six months), please drop a comment.

Makeup artists in Ibadan. We met, discussed and had fun!

Pretty Divas!
Its been a while i had this much fun. I'm glad i was at the first Makeup meetup for beautypreneurs in Ibadan. It was held at the upper room of KFC, adeoyo road, Ibadan. There were 20 of us in attendance.

We got to know one another, discussed pressing and not so pressing issues and we also had a guest, +YORUBA CONNECT who came to speak to us about Marketing and publicity.

training time with Yoruba connect

We had freebies from Adebola of Sleek studio Ibadan (everybody got at least two items) , Funke of Beautylift and  we played a game won by Jumoke of Nikies artistry, she got a gift from Bunmi of Bee's Signatures (moi)

Watch out for our monthly events and greater things to come.

Periscope: Am I late or what?

Hiya

I see my video tutorial got  quite a lot of views. Thanks for watching and please let me know what you think so i can serve you better.

If you know me, i mean really know me like a friend or a coaching client, you'll know how i'm fascinated with technology, apps and the internet. so the other day, I heard about a new video streaming app called Periscope and i ran to go find out about it. On opening my ios app store, I saw that it already has over 50million downloads!

Anyways, periscope is an app owned by twitter  a live video streaming app for iOS and Android developed by Kayvon Beykpour and Joe Bernstein. The startup behind the app was purchased by Twitter for a reported $100 million in March 2015. On March 26, 2015, Twitter officially relaunched the application on iOS under its own App Store account. Later, on May 26, 2015, Periscope was released for Android.- Wikipedia

What this simply means is that you can share whatever you are doing live through a stream and control who sees it. You might want to share it with the whole world or just with family and friends.

The issue with periscope however, is that people can stream a paid event live and everyone else watches it free. (lol)

I guess it's more like google air hangouts for socializing. I'm sceptical about the privacy settings though.

Ok i'm off to download, hopefully it would impact my business positively. If not, its off my phone!

You are beautiful! 19th Sept, 2015

Hi peeps

Finally the holiday is over and my adorable lil ones are back in school, a new school actually. And I'm so grateful to God that he kept them through out the holidays and for his provision. I pray for all parents reading this that God will keep your children and you will live long to see them grow and prosper.

So there's this pretty chic in my church choir who caught my eyes a few years ago, why? She saw me and greeted me with a warm smile and such courtesy, I immediately knew there was something different about her. And I was right!

She is Olusewasimilara Oluyemi, an accounting graduate of Convenant University, Otta who loves to talk (like me, lol), sing and bake. She is the convener of "You are beautiful", a program designed for young ladies holding this Saturday, September 19th at Global harvest Church, beside Jogor center, Liberty road, Ibadan.

Here's what she says about the event

"You are Beautiful is a program inspired by some things I have been through, failures, some addictions I had to deal with and I realized a lot of people (ladies to be precise) are suffering from the same issues, I realized a lot of ladies are dying in silence, and though smiling are very hurt on the inside.
Hence I saw this as a challenge and I felt the need for a wake up call to the ladies around just to let them know they aren't alone, and if people have been through similar situations and come out successful theirs shouldn't be any different.
I believe when we come together and hear other great women share their success stories then we can be encouraged to face our fears and make that long lasting decision to remain beautiful as God created us"

If you or anyone you know needs to be at this program, please make it a date, it promises to be eye opening and inspiring. The event will definitely be featured in my next SWAP bulletin.

Hope to see you there!

Till

next time.

Relieve stress, Delegate!

I've been struggling with being everything in my home and business and started getting stressed out until I had this revelation

Do what you can and get people to do the rest for you.

It's OK to take a break, right?

So I blanked out on you for some time now. A lot was going on in my life and on my mind and i needed time to sort myself.
First of all I was invited as a guest speaker to Treasure house Church, Ibadan for the health and fitness day of the Fair ladies conference. I talked about knowing who you are, as is written in the bible, 1Cor 3:16. And also about good nutrition, exercise, skincare and some more. My team and i then led the ladies to a 20 mins workout session.

Also, a new session of the Bezalel skills acquisition centre began last week and I was there on Thursday to take my class titled "makeup artistry as a profession". I thoroughly enjoyed it and I wish I could have enjoyed something like this when I was starting out in the business world.

I've also written a few more chapters in my book, become busier with more students in the studio and trying to have an organised life even in the midst of the looooooong holiday.

My next post will surely be a tutorial or review. If you have any requests, let me know.
Till then,

stay beeyoutiful
