Fitness is essential before, during and after pregnancy as it helps to keep the body strong and healthy. A vital aspect of keeping fit is exercising.
Why should you exercise in pregnancy?
1. It promotes proper fluid and nutrients circulation to the baby
2. It keeps you in good shape and physical condition
3. Exercising produce endorphins which are called "happy hormones", leading to decreased sensitivity.
4. When you exercise during pregnancy,it reduces the amount of time required for you to shed "baby fat" after delivery
5. Relieves aches and tension
Dos and Donts of exercising in pregnancy.
a. Stay within a comfortable range of motion
b.Make sure you can talk and breathe effortlessly throughout the exercise, intensity should be low to moderate
c.. Take lots of water at all times to stay hydrated
d. Wear loose, comfortable clothes
e. Exercises in cool places, preferably indoors or when its breezy outside, never in a hot or sunny environment
f. eat before and after exercise to prevent hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar)
g.Never stop abruptly, slow down gradually to prevent dizziness and fainting
h. Don't stand for a long time without moving, it leads to decreased cardiac output and blood pooling.
i. Don't lie on your back after the first trimester (around 20 weeks) which compress the vena cava and reduces blood flow.
Talk to your trainer or coach and get a personalized routine, but always talk to and show your doctor before starting any exercise routine.
An exercise ball and dumbbells will be nice to have.
Examples of prenatal exercises include
lunges
bicep curls
knee extensions
donkey kicks
wall pushups
cows pose....

Bridal beauty shoot at Bee's Signatures makeup studio Ibadan

On wednesday, I had a photoshoot at my studio. The pictures were taken by Oluwakayode Adegbesan of MAK photography and the model is Olubukola Ajibike.

Here i added gold glitter to her eyes, and used mountain green eye shadow pen to line her lower lash line.
For her lips i used a burgundy lip liner and a white lip pencil to create an ombre effect.
I had some issues with the gele cause of her hair style but we worked it out anyhoo!

BOD-FIDENCE! Be confident in the body God gave you.

Here's my first guest post for 2016. We set off on a motivational mode.

Let’s face it, we are women…we all have our insecurities and we constantly complain- my legs are too fat, my nose is too wide, my hair is too short, my butt is too small.. I recently heard of a babe who literally wears socks every minute of the day and only takes them off when she bathes, simply because she hates her toes!

Insecurities! Insecurities! Insecurities!
Well, I guess it’s part of who we are!

It’s okay to have them, but when these insecurities turn into self hate, that’s where the problem lies.
I have dealt with body image issues for years. Being really skinny, I used to get called names like toothpick, pencil and so on. It hurt and made me retreat into a shell because I felt like the world hated me. The name calling hasn’t completely stopped but I have simply chosen not to care! I have managed to reach a secure place.

Here are some ways I believe can help you build your bod-fidence!

1.    Play up your good sides
No matter how bad it is, there’s always something to love. Start by admiring those things. If your legs are your assets, show them off! This is a great way to take your mind off the things you don’t like.

2.    Surround yourself with positive people
This one helps a great deal! Having people around you who constantly complement you would help improve how you see yourself.

3.    Just don’t bother yourself!
Decide not to bother yourself anymore about the things you don’t like about your body because seriously, there are more important things in life than caring about the size of your boobs or the length of your hair!

4.    Go shopping!
Shopping is therapeutic and it helps take your mind off a lot of things. Buy things you love. Spoil yourself and make you feel like a queen that you are! This would help you feel great about yourself!

5.    Come out of your comfort zone
Stop hiding behind your insecurities. Even if you know your legs are fat, put on a pair of heels with a short dress and rock them. You don’t owe anybody any apologies! Gradually step out of your comfort zone and before you know it, you’ll realize those things no longer bother you!

6.    Just live!
Just live your life. Think less.

As 2016 unfolds, you should unfold as well!

Want soft, smooth lips?

Hiya

Ever wondered how to get soft supple lips?


Soft supple lips is within everyone's reach with these easy steps.

What you would need
1. Moisturising lip balm 2. unscented wipes 3. Lip scrub 4. Lip gloss




1. Apply the lip balm generously to your lips last thing before going to bed. This will soften the lips and loosen dead skin scales
2. In the morning, wipe off the residue of the balm using your unscented wipes. Some of the scales will come off with the wipe.
3. Apply a pea sized amount of lip scrub to your index finger and gently massage into your upper and lower lips concentrating on all areas including the corners. This should take care of any residual dead skin.
4. Wipe off the scrub.
5. Rinse with tepid water.
6. Apply lip gloss or a juicy lip stain to add some shine or use a balm if you would rather not have your lips that inviting.

Now your lips are ready for whatever the day brings...lol
